Thing 23
I will start with the fact that I am glad I am done. I believe there are things I will use and they will be beneficial. It will help if we use these tools as a grade level at the very least to communicate. Some of these things I knew about but never explored. At times it was very frustrating but hopefully it will now motivate me to research some topics further.

Thing 22
Wiki's seem to be much like Google Docs. I guess what is important is just use the site your school or team members are using so it makes communication easy and beneficial.

Thing 21
The use of a wiki reminds me of google docs. I like the group collaboration of a wiki and I think the students would like it too. They are in the technology now world and it is instant information they could create together. I think it would be good for a class discussion for a question the teacher threw out there just to get the students thinking. It could also be fun to debate a topic and have kids add to a pro and con list.
Thing 20
I was playing around with iTunes and I found a song I needed for my daughter! She is in first grade and wanted to sing in her school talent show but the song music had to be instrumental. I found what we needed and she has now been able to practice all weekend. She is sooo excited!
Thing 19
I liked the idea of using the podcasts for a test review as one Social Studies teacher did. His students could tune in and go through the test study guide and hopefully clear up any information the students didn't understand. It would also be a good way for students to make their own podcast and review the material for a test.

Thing 18
I chose a Slideshare video about Venice, Italy. I have been there and it is incredible. This might help in the classroom to give the students background knowledge about something or somewhere they know little about.

Thing 17
I liked the 30 Boxes online calendar. This would be very helpful at school for staff meetings, IEP or child study meetings, our monthly 5th grade meetings, reminders for PBIS reward assemblies, vision screening and so on. It would also be a great spot to keep personal information too, and therefore keep yourself organized. This way I may not have to write myself as many sticky notes!
Thing 16
This one was not as difficult because we already use this. Google Docs is a great way to collaborate with everyone in the building, as well as, the people on my floor. It can be helpful with teaching ideas, student behavior, camp, and weekly letters we send home.
Thing 15
I researched the information and previewed some of the news media sites found here. I understand the use for it or wanting to tag it to the RSS but I don't have time to go on these sites and sit and read this updated information. As it is, I am not on things like facebook because I don't have any spare time to sit and read it. I would never go back to this site because I would rather use my time to prepare for school.
Thing 14
This Thing gave me a lot of trouble. I created a Delicious account but had trouble following the video to explain how to set up tagging. I had the video screen side by side listening to the video, stopping, and attempting to complete it but the screen she talked about I never could get to come up. After my husband and I both worked on it I decided it was time to move on!

Thing #13
I can see where Tagging would be very useful to me and my teaching partner. We share a computer at school and teach the same subjects this yeear. It would be very beneficial to tag math and language arts teaching tools to share with each other. We could also tag things for the classroom like student jobs, intramurals, camp information, etc.

Thing 11
This "thing" I found much easier to use. It was fun to go explore other teachers blogs and see if we share the same ideas or take a great idea and have my students benefit from it. Reading their blogs also gives you insight into them as a person. If it is a teacher in the building I never see, it was fun to learn more about them and their teaching style.
Thing 10
Looking up videos to watch was easy, downloading them is not! Here is a quick fraction video I looked up a few minutes ago.

Thing 9
YouTube is a fun site to watch what some of my friends that are very creative post! I had fun looking up 2 year old golfers as my 2 year old can swing a mean club. It is also helpful for quick teaching ideas if I need an alternative way to teach something. Even if I need a fresh idea to help struggling students. This might also be helpful to my own son who may need help in school!

Thing 8
I can see how some of these sites would be fun to create fun things with my personal photos but I got very frustrated with the advertisements and signing up for accounts, etc. I did get some good ideas that could be used in the classroom but not directly on this site.
Thing 7
I posted a picture of my kids at the campground at Mackinaw. I would suggest this campground to anyone as it was very family friendly. We had a great family vacation. I understand this is a great way for friends and family to stay in touch, but I don't like the idea of my personal pictures to be out on the internet.

Thing 6

This is not my picture, but isn't it awesome, I copied it from Flickr. I have been to Italy and it reminded me of many beautiful things I saw!
Thing 5
Being an organized person, I liked creating the folders for subscribing to different informational things. Quick way to look through ideas when we are all so short on time.
Thing 4
Slowly getting the hang of this. It helps to have someone sitting next to you that is working at the same pace. Thought RSS could be helpful for quick news updates and other informational data.
Thing 3
I liked the idea to use a blog for students that missed school. What a great way to have them review what they missed.
Thing 1 and 2
This is my second attempt! I think when I get going I will like this, so far it is frustrating! Happy Blogging!
